Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Are you an experienced Forklift Driver, FLT Operator or Logistics Operative looking for a new opportunity with a well-established manufacturing company in Hedge End?

We are currently recruiting for a Forklift Logistics Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver who enjoys a varied role and wants the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Forklift experience is essential for this position. You must hold a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence or have recently held an in-house FLT license.

The Forklift Driver Role

As a Forklift Logistics Operator, you will play an important role in keeping materials and inventory moving efficiently around the site.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently.
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming inventory and materials.
• Moving stock and materials to the correct storage locations.
• Distributing materials and components to different departments across the site.
• Preparing materials and inventory for production in a timely manner.
• Loading and unloading deliveries when required.
• Maintaining accurate stock and material movements.
• Ensuring materials are available to the relevant departments when needed.
• Following all site health & safety procedures and forklift operating requirements.
• Keeping the stores and working areas clean, organised and safe.
• Carrying out all duties with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

About You

We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and takes pride in doing a job properly.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• Previous forklift / FLT experience – essential.
• A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence OR recent experience operating under an in-house FLT licence – essential.
• Experience working within a warehouse, stores, manufacturing or logistics environment.
• Good attention to detail.
• The ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy environment.
• A positive, flexible and "can-do" attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
• The ability to start within 1 week's notice.
