AI Application Engineer - Python / LLM (M/F)

About the company

Our client is a French company specializing in high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence. They support organizations of all sizes, from SMEs to large international groups, with tailor-made solutions: consulting, infrastructure, performance optimization, and advanced support. In a period of strong growth, they are strengthening their technical team with an AI Application Engineer, reporting to the Technical Director.

Your tasks

• Design, develop, and industrialize high-impact AI applications
• Develop the backend of agent-based applications in Python / FastAPI
• Design robust, testable, and scalable service architectures (REST API, error handling, observability)
• Build ingestion and indexing pipelines for structured and unstructured data
• Design AI agents: context management, memory, tool orchestration
• Implement monitoring for AI applications: latency, inference cost, response quality, alerting, dashboards
• Secure LLM usage: prompt injection, tool sandboxing, exfiltration prevention, secrets management, quotas
• Participate in production deployments and performance optimization
• Document, transfer knowledge, and maintain active monitoring of AI and agents

Requirements

As a senior Engineer (Master's degree or PhD in computer science, engineering, or a scientific discipline), you have concrete experience in the production deployment of AI applications.

• Advanced Python and FastAPI
• RESTful API design and service architecture
• Development best practices: testing, robustness, code quality
• AI application development: agents, orchestration, frameworks such as LangChain, Hugging Face or equivalent
• Data ingestion and indexing, vector databases, and graph databases
• PostgreSQL or equivalent
• Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
• AWS notions (IAM, EC2, EKS)
• Awareness of LLM cybersecurity: prompt injection, tool hijacking, data leaks, separation of rights
• Professional English, written and spoken
