Data Management Analyst - Data Governance London / Hybrid 12 Month FTC

A leading insurance business is looking for a Data Management Analyst to join their Data Governance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a broad data role covering data quality, metadata, taxonomy and emerging AI governance , working closely with Digital, Risk, Compliance and wider business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data quality rules, profiling routines and reporting dashboards.
• Support metadata, classification, taxonomy and data labelling across the business.
• Monitor data and AI systems, including areas such as bias, drift and performance.
• Analyse data to identify trends, anomalies, risks and potential areas for improvement.
• Maintain clear documentation around data lineage, processes, controls and governance.
• Support data and AI risk assessments and wider governance activities.
• Carry out root-cause analysis, reporting and other ad-hoc analytical work.
• Work with stakeholders across Digital, Risk & Compliance, DPO and business teams.

What They're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a Data Analyst / Data Management role.
• Strong experience with data quality, profiling and data analysis .
• Good understanding of metadata, data lineage, classification and taxonomies .
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts , particularly model monitoring, bias, drift and performance testing.
• Experience working within a regulated environment , ideally insurance or financial services.
• Understanding of GDPR, data protection and responsible AI principles.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
