Summary of role: My client is in the Food Production & Manufacturing sector. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the client's Warehouse, Logistics and Customer Service functions, ensuring efficient inventory management, timely order fulfilment and delivery, and responsive customer service. The role will work closely with Procurement, Operations and Sales to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and the movement of goods across the business. Duties & Responsibilities: · Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking and dispatch. · Manage logistics and distribution activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. · Oversee the Customer Service function, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and customer enquiries and issues are resolved promptly. · Monitor inventory accuracy, order fulfilment, delivery performance and customer service levels. · Manage and monitor third-party logistics providers to ensure service quality and cost effectiveness. · Work closely with Procurement to coordinate incoming deliveries and resolve issues relating to delivery schedules, quantities or product condition. · Work closely with Operations and Sales to ensure customer orders and delivery requirements are fulfilled effectively. · Monitor key KPIs and identify opportunities to improve warehouse, logistics and customer service efficiency. · Ensure activities comply with company policies, food safety, quality and workplace safety requirements. · Lead, coach and develop the Warehouse, Logistics and Customer Service teams to promote accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement. · Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to the General Manager.
Job Requirements · Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or a related field preferred. · Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, customer service or supply chain operations, preferably in the food, FMCG or distribution industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. · Strong knowledge of warehouse, logistics and order fulfilment processes. · Experience managing third-party logistics providers and customer service operations is an advantage. · Strong leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills. · Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across functions. · Hands-on, proactive and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
