About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the financial management and operations of our Singapore business and retail operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, compliance, risk management, and business support while coordinating with regional and headquarters finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Oversee the financial management of the company's retail and business operations in Singapore.
  • Formulate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial plans in line with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Work closely with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
  • Prepare accurate and timely statutory financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies, and internal controls.

Financial Policies & Controls

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and workflows.
  • Ensure proper execution of financial management and accounting systems across the organisation.
  • Monitor financial operations to maintain strong governance and internal control standards.

Treasury & Tax Management

  • Manage cash flow planning, financing arrangements, and working capital requirements.
  • Lead tax planning and compliance activities.
  • Ensure adequate funding to support daily operations and business growth.

Risk Management & Business Support

  • Conduct financial evaluations and risk assessments for major investments, projects, and business initiatives.
  • Provide financial guidance and recommendations to management.
  • Establish and maintain financial risk management frameworks and controls.

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, banks, regulatory bodies, and business partners.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments to support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with headquarters and regional teams on financial matters and reporting requirements.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Establish performance goals and provide training and professional development opportunities.
  • Coordinate and support finance managers across related business entities where applicable.

Singapore Finance Manager Specific Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), Companies Act requirements, GST regulations, and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Manage annual audits, tax filings, GST submissions, and statutory reporting.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and payroll finance functions.
  • Support dealership and automotive retail business operations through financial analysis, profitability monitoring, and operational reporting.
  • Partner with management on business performance reviews, cost optimization initiatives, and strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor key financial and operational KPIs and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist headquarters finance and overseas business divisions in coordinating overseas financial management activities.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration across business functions.
  • Support group-level financial projects, system implementations, and business expansion initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.

Professional Qualifications

  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent is preferred.
  • Candidates with recognized accounting or finance professional credentials will have an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a Finance Manager role or other senior finance management positions.
  • Experience in the automotive industry, dealership operations, or retail business finance is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record in financial planning, reporting, budgeting, taxation, treasury management, and internal controls.
  • Experience managing audits and statutory compliance requirements.
