Interim Financial Accountant

The Client Harmonic are partnering with one of the most loved consumer brands in the world, an iconic, globally recognised name with an international footprint across multiple markets. Following a recent ERP migration, the finance function is investing in additional interim support to clear a backlog of historical work and strengthen its controls.
The Role
We are recruiting an interim Financial Accountant to join the finance team on a hands-on basis. Reporting into a senior finance stakeholder, you will take ownership of the backlog of balance sheet and intercompany work, review financial coding and account mapping within Dynamics 365 following a recent ERP migration, and help embed stronger processes and controls across the function.
Key Responsibilities
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and validate historical positions
- Clear a backlog of intercompany reconciliations and invoicing
- Review and correct financial coding and account mapping within Dynamics 365
- Identify broken processes and remediate them, with clear documentation
- Embed and strengthen financial controls across the finance function
- Support month-end close and wider financial reporting activities
Essential Experience
- Genuine, hands-on experience clearing significant balance sheet or reconciliation backlogs
- Stock/inventory experience (FMCG or consumer packaged goods) and/or multi-entity experience, including intercompany reconciliations and recharges
- Comfortable working through ambiguity and a genuinely unresolved set of historical data
- Qualified accountant
Package
- Day Rate: £400-450 a day (inside IR 35)
- Duration: 6 months (potential to extend)
- Location: London (3 days per week in office)
- Start Date: ASAP
