INFANT EDUCATOR
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant Educator to join our infant care team. You will work under close supervision to provide quality care and early learning experiences for infants aged 2 to 18 months. This role is ideal for individuals who are new to the early childhood sector and are committed to growing their professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide responsive caregiving routines (feeding, diapering, sleep) under supervision
- Assist in implementing infant care curriculum and planned activities
- Observe and document infant development milestones under guidance
- Support a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment
- Maintain open communication with parents/caregivers on daily infant progress
- Adhere to ECDA licensing conditions and centre safety protocols
Requirements
- HCIC or ACEY equivalent qualification recognised by ECDA
- Passion for working with infants and young children
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically fit to manage infant caregiving demands
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience or practicum placement in an infant care setting
- Basic knowledge of infant development milestones
- Warm, patient and responsive temperament
