We are working with a prominent and recognised West Midlands law firm that is looking to appoint a Legal Administrative Assistant to support its central administration function.

This would suit someone with upwards of 12 months’ previous experience working within a legal environment who is organised, approachable and confident managing a varied workload. You’ll join a friendly and collaborative team, providing day-to-day administrative support to lawyers and the wider office.

The role

The position will involve a broad range of administrative responsibilities, including:

  • Preparing legal correspondence, documents and general reports
  • Providing support to fee earners and other members of the legal team
  • Communicating with clients, professional contacts and other third parties
  • Maintaining accurate electronic and paper records
  • Assisting with the organisation of meetings, appointments and diaries
  • Supporting new client onboarding, including identification and compliance checks
  • Handling telephone enquiries and directing calls appropriately
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post and other correspondence
  • Providing reception and general office support when required
  • Assisting with wider administrative tasks across the business as needed

About you

The firm is looking for someone who ideally has at least one year’s experience within a law firm or legal environment, together with:

  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Confidence working independently while also contributing to a wider team
