Staff Fullstack Engineer – Agentic Product (m/f/d)

YOUR ROLE

You will take on technical leadership and end-to-end ownership for a new, customer-facing Agentic Product at happyhotel – with a clear focus on measurable impact (Impact over Output). You combine strong Product Sense with hands-on engineering and build agentic systems that function reliably, safely, and scalably in practice.

Important: No disciplinary personnel responsibility. You lead through expertise, standards, and ownership.

YOUR TASKS

• Fullstack Execution: You develop UI and backend services in our stack (TypeScript/Angular) and build robust APIs as well as integrations.
• Outcome Focus: You are responsible for measurable results. You define Success Metrics, Baselines, and Guardrails – for you, impact counts more than output.
• AI Strategy: In close collaboration with Product, you identify high-leverage workflows that we automate through intelligent agents.
• Iterative Shipping: You translate fuzzy problems into iterative releases (MVP → v1 → Scale) and make smart trade-offs between UX, risk, and engineering quality.
• Agentic Architectures: You design and implement architectures for AI-Agents – from Tool Use and orchestration to cost and latency control.
• Robust Evaluation: You establish test sets and regression suites to ensure the quality, safety, and reliability of our AI features in production.
• Engineering Standards: You set the benchmarks for testing, code quality, CI/CD, and scalability in a cloud environment (AWS).
• Tech Leadership: You raise the team level through design reviews and pairing, provide orientation, and set standards for AI reliability.
• Mentoring & Hiring: You support the growth of the team through mentoring and actively participate in our interview process.

YOUR PROFILE

• Product Shipper: You have a proven track record of successfully releasing customer-facing products end-to-end (UX + Backend + Ops).
• Fullstack Pro: You are technically deeply rooted in our stack (TypeScript + Angular).
• Product Mindset: You balance technical excellence with business outcomes and make pragmatic decisions for the product.
• Production Experience: You are confident in handling AWS, Docker, CI/CD, and bring a strong reliability mindset.
• Agentic Know-how: You have hands-on experience with agentic coding or workflows (LLMs that plan and use tools).
• Collaboration: You work reliably, pragmatically, and are absolutely team-oriented across all functions.
• Languages: You communicate confidently in English.

BONUS POINTS (NICE-TO-HAVES)

• AI Track Record: You have already accompanied AI products from the first MVP to broad adoption in production.
• Messaging & Data: Experience with Pub-Sub systems (RabbitMQ, SQS) as well as MongoDB performance and data modeling.
