Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Cashier to provide friendly and efficient checkout service to our customers. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth transactions and creating a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them during the checkout process.
• Scan grocery items accurately and process transactions using our POS system.
• Process cash, credit, and debit card payments with accuracy and adherence to store policies.
• Bag groceries neatly and assist with loading items if needed.
• Provide information to customers about products, prices, and store policies as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the storefront/checkout area, including replenishing supplies.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Follow all company procedures for cash handling and customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cashiering or customer service experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.
• Basic math skills and proficiency in handling transactions accurately.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on store needs.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
