Associate - 1 executor for an indefinite period, with a probationary period of 3 (three) months

Job description:

Studies and professionally processes issues and problems from the field of work of the Section and participates in the preparation and implementation of tasks. Maintains equipment for molecular diagnostics and monitors the need for materials required for the implementation of molecular analyses. Responsible for the timely and orderly execution of tasks within the scope of work; participates in writing and consolidating periodic and annual reports on the Laboratory's work; participates in the introduction of new methods and standards of the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO), Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) and EU legislation, analyzes and monitors regulations within the scope of work in the world and the Republic of Croatia; participates in scientific research work; participates in organizing professional and scientific consultations; improves knowledge in the scope of work in the country and abroad; performs other tasks in accordance with valid regulations. Performs other tasks by order of superiors.

Working conditions:

completed university graduate studies or university integrated undergraduate and graduate studies or professional graduate studies in the field of biotechnical sciences, biotechnology or in the field of natural sciences, field of biology, knowledge of English language in speech and writing, computer literacy, driving license category B, Croatian citizenship.

Required work experience for concluding an employment contract:

A candidate who invokes the right of priority in employment in accordance with Article 9 of the Act on Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities ("Narodne Novine", number 157/13, 152/14, 39/18 and 32/20), in addition to the application for the competition, is obliged, besides proof of meeting the requested conditions, to attach proof of established status of a person with a disability.

A candidate who invokes the right of priority in employment in accordance with the provisions of Article 48.f of the Act on the Protection of Military and Civilian War Disabled ("Narodne Novine", number 33/92, 57/92, 77/92, 27/93, 58/93, 02/94, 76/94, 108/95, 108/96, 82/01, 103/03 and 148/13, 98/19), is obliged, besides proof of meeting the requested conditions, to attach proof of recognized status.

A candidate belonging to a national minority has the right to invoke priority in employment based on Article 22 of the Constitutional Act on the Rights of National Minorities (Narodne novine number 155/02, 47/10, 80/10 and 93/11 – Decision of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Croatia), without the obligation to submit proof of national affiliation.

CANDIDATES ARE OBLIGED TO SUBMIT WITH THE APPLICATION:

• a hand-signed application for the Public Competition in which the personal data of the applicant (name, residential address, telephone number, or mobile number, email address) and the name of the job position being applied for must be stated,
• a curriculum vitae in Croatian,
• proof of Croatian citizenship (copy of the domicile card or identity card or military identity card or passport),
• proof of acquired professional qualification – a copy of the diploma of completed schooling. Candidates who acquired professional qualification abroad must also attach an opinion on the foreign educational qualification in accordance with the provisions of the Act on the Recognition and Evaluation of Foreign Educational Qualifications (Narodne novine, number 69/22), and in accordance with the previous provision, a decision on the recognition of the foreign educational qualification, with an explanation from which it can be seen which level and degree of education is involved and with which degree, or level of education it is equated in the Republic of Croatia;
• a certificate or electronic record of data recorded in the registry of the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute, which record/certificate, among other data, must also contain data on the employer, the start and end of insurance, actual and required professional qualification, working hours and duration of insurance seniority - not older than 3 (three) months,
• proof of computer literacy (submission of a certificate/testimony/confirmation of knowledge of computer work or a hand-signed statement on knowledge of computer work),
• proof of active knowledge of the English language in speech and writing (submission of a certificate/testimony/confirmation of knowledge of the English language or a hand-signed statement on knowledge of the English language),
• a certificate from a competent court that an investigation has not been initiated, or that an investigation has not been initiated against the person, or that criminal proceedings are not being conducted for a criminal offense for which criminal proceedings are initiated ex officio - not older than 1 (one) month,
• driving license category B.

All proofs of meeting the conditions may be submitted in original or uncertified copy, in which case the Agency may call upon the candidate to present the original document. A complete application is considered one that contains all the data and attachments mentioned in the Public Competition. Incomplete and late applications will not be considered.

The Croatian Food and Agriculture Agency establishes the list of candidates applied for the Public Competition who meet the formal conditions and sends them for written testing and an interview consisting of a check of the candidates' knowledge, abilities, and skills. A candidate who does not attend the testing is no longer considered a candidate in the process.
