Payroll & Compliance Manager London based | Hybrid, three days in the office

Handle are partnering with a global media organisation looking for a Payroll Lead to oversee a complex international remit and support further expansion. The business is at an exciting point in its growth and needs someone who can drive change and elevate the function, particularly around compliance.

There's plenty of scope to put your own stamp on the role, from strengthening processes and controls to setting up payroll in new territories. You'll need to be confident navigating different jurisdictions, spotting risks and working with local teams and external providers to make sure everything is managed effectively. Alongside this, you'll oversee day-to-day delivery and be the go-to person for more complex queries.

Sitting within an evolving People Operations and Reward function, this is a highly visible position with key relationships across HR, Finance and Legal. You'll bring a collaborative approach, build credibility easily and communicate clear advice. You'll also be comfortable in an organisation where things move at pace.

We're looking for someone with a strong base of payroll knowledge and experience managing international compliance. You'll have led a team and be happy balancing leadership with getting stuck into the detail. A background in supporting entry into new countries would be particularly useful, as would Workday experience.
