We are looking for a Product Specialist to act as Halter's primary representative in South America during our regional launch. This is a pioneering role. You will work directly with our first producers as we deploy Halter on their farms, learning what is needed for the product to work brilliantly in this environment, and conveying those learnings to the rest of the company so we can build and iterate accordingly.

You will work closely with Halter's headquarters in New Zealand and with our commercial teams in South America to ensure that the product delivers undeniable value from day one and that we are building the right thing for our producers.

About the role:

What could your day-to-day look like?

• Going out to the fields to help deploy Halter with our first customers — this is field work, not desk work.
• Building strong relationships with our pioneer producers, deeply understanding how they operate, and learning what the product needs to do to deliver real value in this context.

• Conveying those learnings clearly and rigorously to our product and engineering teams in New Zealand, so we are always building what matters most.
• Helping us understand the nuances of livestock production in South America — the animals, the land, the practices — and sharing that context throughout the company.

• Thinking critically about the product from end to end and identifying what we need to fix, improve, or build next.
• Working with our first customers to ensure they are getting the most out of Halter and seeing real results.

• Collaborating with the commercial team to maintain strong alignment as we scale.
• Doing whatever is necessary to make Halter succeed in South America.

What we are looking for:

• Experience working in South American livestock production. This is a mandatory requirement.
• Passion for animals and the future of livestock farming in the region.

• Interest in technology and genuine curiosity about how our product works.
• A strong communicator who can translate what they see in the field into clear and actionable feedback for a remote product and engineering team.

• Demonstrated ability to think critically when faced with a problem and reach solid, innovative conclusions.
• Comfort with uncertainty. This is an early market entry and things will be imperfect; you will thrive with that rather than being frustrated by it.

• Fast learner with a desire to work hard alongside a team that is doing things that have never been done before.
• A "hands-on" attitude with the resilience to overcome challenges.

• Availability to travel and work flexibly, including weekends when necessary.
• English proficiency is required to collaborate with headquarters.

English proficiency is a requirement for this position. The selection process will include interviews in English, and a significant part of the daily work will also be conducted in this language. We are looking for people who feel comfortable communicating, participating in professional conversations, and working effectively in English. If you do not feel comfortable maintaining professional conversations in English, this position is likely not suitable for you.
