Logistics Coordinator

Hales Group are partnering with a leading manufacturer for the medical industry. We are currently recruiting for a detail-oriented and organised Logistics Co-ordinator to join their Logistics team. We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and enjoys working in a busy environment. You should be confident communicating with customers, freight forwarders and internal departments, and be committed to delivering a high level of customer service.

Salary - £29,500 Per annum Location - Near Eye, Suffolk Hours - Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm Type: Permanent, full time

Reporting to the Logistics Team Leader, you will play a key role in coordinating export shipments while also supporting the UK Logistics team as required, including providing cover during periods of annual leave.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the shared Logistics inbox and respond to customer enquiries, alongside managing a personal email inbox.
• Generate packing lists and commercial invoices, ensuring they are sent promptly to customers and freight forwarders.
• Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls professionally.
• Obtain freight quotations for customer enquiries and live orders.
• Arrange collections for export shipments.
• Liaise with the Production team to provide customers with accurate delivery updates.
• Produce weekly customer reports where required.
• Coordinate container collections when necessary.
• Provide support to the wider Logistics team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required

Essential

• Proven experience in a similar logistics role
• GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English Language at Grade 4 (C) or above.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable

• Sage 200 experience
• Export logistics experience
