HR & Personnel Manager – Hajjo Apparel Manufacturing & Hajjo 1991
About Us Hajjo Apparel Manufacturing is a suit factory in Obour City, Cairo, producing suits for brands in Egypt and abroad. Hajjo 1991 is our menswear brand, with retail stores in Cairo and Tanta. Both are part of a family business that has been making menswear since 1960. We are growing fast and need a strong HR & Personnel Manager to lead our people across the factory and the stores. The Role You will manage the full employee journey for both companies: sewing operators, cutters, pressers and helpers at Hajjo Apparel Manufacturing, sales staff and store managers at Hajjo 1991, and supervisors and managers across both. You must be able to earn respect on the factory floor, on the shop floor, and with top management. Responsibilities Recruitment: Hire production and store staff quickly and in volume, and support hiring for supervisors and managers. Build a steady pipeline of skilled operators and salespeople.
Onboarding & training: Run inductions, skill tests for operators, and basic training for new store staff.
Pay & incentives: Run fair, performance-based pay: piece rate and production bonuses at the factory (linked to output and quality), and sales commissions in the stores, so productive employees earn more.
Payroll & attendance: Manage attendance, shifts, overtime, leave and deductions across the factory and all stores, and make sure monthly payroll is accurate.
Legal & compliance: Handle contracts, social insurance, labor office procedures, and health & safety in full line with Egyptian Labor Law.
Employee relations: Deal with complaints, conflicts, discipline and investigations fairly and firmly. Reduce absence and turnover.
Performance: Track KPIs and run appraisals, working closely with production and store managers.
Policies & files: Prepare internal regulations, job descriptions and the org chart for both companies. Keep complete personnel files.
Audits: Support the factory in preparing for social compliance audits (e.g. amfori BSCI).
Reporting: Send monthly reports to top management on headcount, turnover, absence, overtime and labor cost, split by factory and store.
