Software Engineer - PLC, HMI, Scada

PLC, HMI and SCADA Programmer

Responsible for developing, integrating, and commissioning industrial automation systems for machinery and processes for HAAC Technologies clients, following the programming, quality, and safety standards of each project.

Main functions

• Analyze the process, client requirements, electrical diagrams, the input and output list, and the operating sequence.
• Develop and modify PLC programs to control machinery, sequences, movements, signals, alarms, and interlocks.
• Design and configure intuitive HMI screens for operation, parameter adjustment, status visualization, and fault diagnosis.
• Develop SCADA applications for supervision, alarms, trends, reports, and production information queries.
• Integrate PLC, HMI, and SCADA with sensors, drives, robots, vision systems, and other equipment through industrial networks and protocols.
• Configure data capture, storage, and querying in databases for traceability and production indicators.
• Perform signal, sequence, and communication tests; diagnose faults and correct problems during development and commissioning.
• Participate in internal and client tests, plant startups, and validation of operating modes and safety conditions, in coordination with project managers.
• Document programs, changes, backups, parameters, tests, and pending items; maintain updated version control.
• Train operation and maintenance personnel and provide technical support during and after delivery.

Depending on the project, you may work with platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Keyence, and Ignition, as well as collaborate with the electrical engineering, robotics, vision, and project management areas.
