Senior Engineer Avionics Systems (m/f/d) (Design Engineer)

For the Oberpfaffendorf location, we are looking for:

Senior Engineer Avionics Systems (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Design, development, and integration of avionics systems at the aircraft level (ATA 23, 31, 45, 46)
• System design and definition of requirements for avionics systems
• Design, integration, and certification of communication systems (VHF, HF, VDL, CPDLC, FANS 1/A, SATCOM incl. Safety Services, WiFi, LTE)
• Design, integration, and certification of antenna installations
• Design, integration, and certification of crew audio management and passenger address systems
• Support in the design, integration, and certification of display and information systems (e.g., electronic checklists, Crew Alerting System, synoptics)
• Design, integration, and certification of flight data recorders, Cockpit Voice Recorders, and datalink recording systems
• Review and approval of Part-21 compliance documentation (MoC 0–9)
• Creation of specifications and other Type Design documents
• Technical point of contact for external suppliers
• Support for qualification, ground, and flight testing
• Conduct of technical trade-off studies
• Development of technical solutions for in-service problems

Your qualifications:

• Completed degree (Master/Diplom) in Aerospace Engineering
• At least 10 years of professional experience in the aviation industry
• Experience from at least one new aircraft development program
• Knowledge of EASA Part 21J regulations as well as CS-25 / FAR 25
• Very good English skills, German skills are an advantage
• Strong team, communication, and social skills
• Structured, organized, and efficient way of working
• High analytical competence, practical way of working
• Independent working style as well as strong problem-solving skills
