Lead Engineer – Cloud Application Operations & Maintenance (m/f/d) (KI-Engineer)

For the Raunheim location, we are looking for:

Lead Engineer – Cloud Application Operations & Maintenance (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Coordination and control of Cloud Application Operations in cooperation with Senior Engineers and relevant stakeholders
• Ensuring stable and reliable operation of cloud-based applications and services (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud) including Incident, Problem, and Change Management
• Taking over and managing critical Incidents (P1/P2) as well as performing Root Cause Analyses and implementing sustainable measures
• Planning, coordination, and execution of application and platform updates (Releases, Middleware, databases, Kubernetes deployments) including rollouts
• Definition, coordination, and execution of testing activities in the context of releases and changes (Integration, Regression, Acceptance testing)
• Close cooperation with Development and IT teams to ensure production-ready deployments
• Support in the implementation of NIS2 requirements (Security, Monitoring, Incident Reporting, Risk Management)
• Continuous improvement of automation, stability, and performance
• Monitoring and reporting of KPIs and SLAs
• Coordination with internal and external stakeholders (DevOps, Development, Architecture, Security, customers)
• Participation in the further development of ITIL/ITSM processes

Your qualifications:

• 5–8+ years of experience in Cloud Application Operations, DevOps, or IT Operations
• Experience in coordinating complex technical topics (without direct leadership responsibility)
• Experience in the operation of cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud)
• Knowledge of Linux-based environments as well as container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with Incident, Problem, and Change Management in production environments
• Experience with Release and Lifecycle processes
• Understanding of testing in an operations context (Integration, System validation, Release verification)
• Knowledge of test automation and CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., NIS2, ISO27001)
• Structured and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good English skills
