For the Schwäbisch Hall location, we are looking for:

Customs Control Specialist (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Control and responsibility for the customs clearance of complex national and international export processes under secure application of relevant customs procedures and with a view to compliance, efficiency, and risk minimization
• Specialist advice for internal interfaces as well as active clarification of demanding customs law issues in the import and export environment
• Derivation and establishment of reliable recommendations for action and standards
• Independent and target-group-oriented communication with customs authorities as well as professional representation of the company in complex processes, inquiries, and coordination
• Development and professional design of individual customs solutions for long-term applicability, especially for inward processing and customs warehousing
• Professional further development of processes, standards, and work instructions in the area of customs and shipping as well as support in knowledge transfer within the team

Your qualifications:

• Successfully completed commercial studies with a focus on foreign trade, freight forwarding, industry, or logistics, or a comparable qualification; ideally supplemented by further qualification specific to customs or foreign trade
• Several years of relevant professional experience in operational and technically demanding customs clearance, ideally in an international industrial or project environment
• Very good, practice-oriented knowledge in handling ATLAS as well as extensive experience in the control and professional evaluation of complex customs processes
• Extensive and reliable customs-specific specialist knowledge, especially regarding authorizations, customs procedures, export processes, and the Union Customs Code; ability to securely transfer regulatory requirements into operational practice
• Confident handling of SAP, especially in the modules EWM and ERP
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Good written and spoken English skills
• Strong communicative and advisory skills as well as a confident appearance in cooperation with internal interfaces, external service providers, and authorities
• High professional certainty, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to structure topics independently, set priorities, and provide professional orientation within the team
