Contracts Manager (Construction)

Guildhall is currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager on behalf of a leading international contractor delivering major building construction projects in Kuwait.

This position will play a key role in managing post-contract administration, contractual risk, claims, variations and commercial matters throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage post-contract commercial and contractual activities throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review contract conditions and identify contractual risks, obligations, and opportunities
  • Administer variations, claims, Extension of Time (EOT) submissions, and contractual correspondence
  • Prepare and negotiate contractual notices, change orders, and commercial documentation
  • Provide contractual support and guidance to project teams on commercial matters
  • Review construction drawings and monitor project progress from a contractual perspective
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, clients, and subcontractors on contractual issues
  • Ensure contractual compliance throughout project execution
  • Support dispute avoidance, negotiations, and resolution processes
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in construction contracts management
  • Must possess a strong construction background with practical site experience and a solid understanding of construction methodology
  • Strong post-contract administration experience on major building projects
  • Extensive knowledge of FIDIC Contracts, contract administration, variations, claims, and Extension of Time (EOT) submissions
  • Practical site construction experience with a strong understanding of construction methodologies
  • Ability to review technical drawings and assess contractual implications of project changes
  • Experience managing contractual risks and commercial matters during project execution
  • Previous experience with international contractors or large-scale building projects is highly preferred
  • Excellent English communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
