Paint Inspector – Puerto Montt - Monday to Friday $1.300.000

At GrupoExpro, together with an important company dedicated to the commercialization of coatings, we are looking for a Marine Area Coatings Inspector to join our work team. We are looking for people with experience in the shipyard industry of Puerto Montt and surrounding areas, ideally with knowledge and experience in work related to paints, coatings, surface preparation, vessels, or quality control.

Main functions:

• Review and interpret technical specifications of products and coatings.
• Perform inspections in shipyards, vessels, boats, and shipping companies in the area.
• Verify the conditions of surfaces, materials, and coatings.
• Supervise surface preparation processes and coating application.
• Control drying and finishing processes, recording the corresponding information.
• Review batches, technical data, and compliance with established requirements.
• Prepare and deliver technical reports of the inspections performed.
• Maintain updated records of the inspected processes.
• Comply with safety protocols and correctly use personal protective equipment.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience in similar or related functions.
• Previous experience in shipyards, shipping companies, or sectors related to the marine area.
• Ideally experience in paints, coatings, surface preparation, or quality inspection.
• Higher Level Technical Degree in Administration, Sales, or a related career.
• Intermediate technical English.
• Proficiency in preparing technical reports and process control.
• Valid class B driver's license.
• Own transportation.
• Availability to perform field visits and inspections.
• Availability to travel to different shipyards and points in the area.

Working conditions:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 hours.
• Net salary: $1.300.000 monthly.
• Work is mainly in the field.
