Accounting Normativity Analyst - Knowledge in NIF 16

ACCOUNTING NORMATIVITY ANALYST

POSITION OBJECTIVE: monitor and ensure compliance with new established accounting pronouncements, based on national and international financial reporting standards (NIIF, IFRS and US GAAP), of all group companies when accounting for and presenting their transactions in the financial statements and notes presented to the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores, authorities, etc. on a quarterly and annual basis (e.g.: rents and income from the NIIF 16 leasing, NIIF 15 revenue, etc. pronouncements).

POSITION FUNCTIONS:

• Calculate quarterly leases in national and foreign currency for the group companies under the standards established in NIIF 16 and NIIF 21 for individual companies with the objective of preparing the accounting record layout and validating it in the Qlick View tool (low volume calculations, but more companies).
• Review and analyze daily the national currency service contracts of all group companies for the purpose of defining which contracts are subject to NIIF 16 and NIIF 21 lease calculations.
• Define the items reported in the national currency rent payment universes subject to rent calculation in accordance with what is established in the NIIF 16 leasing quarterly.
• Collect from our international business partners (MEGAMEX - USA) the universe of rent payments and contracts for quarterly calculations and define which payments are subject to the rent calculation in accordance with NIIF 16 leasing.
• Prepare the layout for the rent calculation considering the individual reporting, sub-consolidation, and final consolidation levels, for its proper presentation and follow-up to the quarterly and annual budgets.
• Advise regarding the regulatory requirements for the identification of operations subject to the application of NIIF 16 and NIIF 21 (national and foreign currency) in order for the different areas to properly budget the NIIF impacts in their financial indicators.
• Evaluate the definition of tools and drafting of accounting policies that guarantee and ensure an adequate understanding and compliance with current financial reporting standards.
• Follow up on national and international external audit observations (Barilla Italia, McCormick usa) regarding compliance with the conceptual framework established in IFRS and NIIF in order to validate and comply with current accounting policies.
• Review existing external sources of updates in NIIF and IFRS regulations and by the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores to detect new accounting pronouncements that are issued annually and modify the calculation and accounting metrics in the different group companies for NIIF 16 and 15 as well as any new accounting pronouncement, except those relating to financial instruments.
• Prepare annual consolidated reports of the leases of Grupo Herdez and subsidiaries in compliance with IFRS 16.
• Collaborate with the finance area on the effects in budgets and Forecast of the rent calculation considering the individual, sub-consolidation, and consolidation reporting levels.
• Prepare the lease accounting entries for quarterly recording.
• Support in impairment analysis, going concern, and validation of actuarial calculations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Administration

4 years of experience:

• Mastering IFRS Normativity
• In Accounting

Technical Knowledge:

• Finance
• Leasing: IFRS 16
• Accounting normativity (IFRS)
• Analysis of new accounting pronouncements (IFRS)
• Accounting connectivity and sustainability
• Intermediate English

Technological Knowledge:

• Office Suite
• SAP queries

Workplace: Corporativo Herdez San Bartolo, (Col. Argentina Poniente, Del. Miguel Hidalgo, CDMX.) Near Metro Toreo

Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
