Allegro Pay is Central Europe's largest and fastest growing fintech - the only place where financial solutions can be created on such a large scale, using state-of-the-art technology. We work on purchase financing and payment methods that are used daily by customers of Allegro, the most popular shopping platform in Poland and one of the largest e-commerce companies in Europe. Due to this scale, we have the opportunity to work on one of the most exciting purchase financing and payment solutions in our country. We are looking for talented people who want to create powerful and stable solutions to support a product with over a dozen million active users.

The role

We're looking for a Software Engineer with a solid foundation in .NET and backend development to join a cross-functional team focused mainly on greenfield projects - building new products and features from the ground up. You'll help deliver seamless, end-to-end customer journeys - from opening a bank account and activating a fast payment method directly within the Allegro app, through funding the account, to authorizing payments and rewarding customers with cashback, all in just a few taps. Alongside building new features, you'll focus on improving system performance, scalability and reliability, and on raising the quality and maintainability of our codebase. You'll work closely with product, design and business stakeholders, taking ideas from concept to production quickly and iterating based on real user feedback. Our team builds and scales two products: Allegro Klik - lets Allegro users link an existing bank account or open a new one directly within the Allegro app for instant payments with cashback. We own the full flow: account linking and opening, payment processing, top-ups, cashback calculation and cashback-driven promotional campaigns. Allegro Care - insurance offered directly in the Allegro shopping experience, letting customers protect their purchases (e.g. against damage, theft, or with extended warranty) right at checkout, with policy management handled seamlessly within the platform.

Both products are growing fast, with new initiatives launched continuously alongside scaling of our existing systems.

Requirements

We are looking for people who

Have foundational knowledge of .NET and backend development, and are eager to grow their skills on production-grade systems Are curious about distributed systems and microservices , and want to build practical experience working with them; exposure to partner APIs is a plus Are eager to learn and experiment with our Azure-based cloud infrastructure Want to be proud of the code they create; value high-quality code reviews and engage in substantive discussions on software engineering best practices Are eager to understand the broader business context and communicate effectively with internal clients Demonstrate a high sense of responsibility and resilience, as you will be working with critical financial data Are enthusiastic about AI and are open to actively incorporating AI coding assistants (such as GitHub Copilot) into their daily work to maximize efficiency and focus on complex problem-solving Can look for effective solutions to the requirements set by business stakeholders, and value independence in taking ownership of the features they deliver from start to finish Are committed to continuous learning, open to constructive feedback, and embrace a growth mindset through active participation in code reviews, backlog grooming, team discussions and retrospectives Collaborate effectively within a team, share knowledge, and contribute to a supportive engineering culture Speak fluent Polish (essential for daily communication with internal and partner stakeholders) and communicative English (at least B2 level)
