Technical Inside Sales for Kyocera
Reporting to the Construction Division, the Data Centers Project Director will lead an entire turnkey industrial project, from the design phase to delivery to the client. As the guarantor of technical, contractual, financial, and human performance, you will ensure the coordination of internal teams and the relationship with the client, while securing costs, deadlines, quality, and safety.
MISSIONS
- Global project management
- Lead the various phases of the project after signing: synthesis studies, execution studies, purchasing, works, testing, commissioning.
- Define and monitor the general schedule and key milestones.
- Guarantee compliance with contractual commitments.
- Team animation and coordination
- Manage a multidisciplinary team: design office (structure, utilities, process integration ...), works management, purchasing / supply chain, quality, safety, technical synthesis.
- Mobilize resources and arbitrate priorities.
- Ensure the operational interface between site teams and design specialists.
- Client relationship and contractual management
- Act as the primary interlocutor for the client throughout the duration of the project.
- Conduct progress meetings, negotiate contractual adjustments, and handle claims.
- Anticipate contractual risks and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and monitor amendments, additional budgets, and change requests.
- Financial monitoring and performance
- Build and manage the global project budget.
- Control costs, margins, risks, and opportunities.
- Validate invoicing and monitor project cash-flow.
- Implement performance KPIs and produce internal and client reporting.
- Supervision of works on site
- Be present daily on the construction site to supervise operations.
- Guarantee technical consistency, compliance with safety rules, and management of interfaces.
- Support management teams in subcontractor management.
- Validate tests, partial receptions, and final receptions.
An experienced engineer, you have at least 10 years of experience in directing complex construction projects and implementing technical installations in the data centers field (design, construction, installation, commissioning). Technical, structured, and results-oriented, you know how to operate in demanding environments. Your field presence, negotiation skills, and contractual expertise make you a true conductor.
Your experience allows you to feel comfortable across all construction packages and in the organization and animation of large-scale projects (50-100 Meuros).
Required Skills
- Solid technical culture in civil engineering, TCE, industrial installations.
- Professional English required.
- Mastery of complex project management (planning, budget, risks).
- Knowledge of subcontracting markets and industrial contracts (closings, claims, amendments).
- Good understanding of QSHE issues.
- Natural leadership and ability to unite multi-site and multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong sense of customer service.
- Rigor, decision-making, stress management.
- Mastery of project management tools (MS Project or equivalent).
- Office software and collaborative tools.
- An Uptime certification and significant experience in Data Centers projects will be appreciated.
