Senior Management Controller M/F
Bertin Instruments, a Business Unit of the Bertin Technologies group, is a recognized player in the development of cutting-edge scientific and technological instrumentation. Within Bertin Instruments (Nuclear activity), we work on high-tech projects in demanding environments, both in France and internationally.
In a context of development and structuring, we are recruiting a Senior Management Controller to support the steering of this strategic activity.
Reporting to the Finance Department, you will work with high autonomy and act as a true partner to the management of Bertin Instruments (Nuclear activity).
YOUR MISSIONS:
You will ensure the management control of the Bertin Instruments entity with a consolidated and performance-oriented vision. Your main missions are:
Global performance steering
- Ensure complete financial steering of the activity
- Produce a consolidated and coherent vision of performance
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPI)
- Provide clear and actionable analysis to management
Business partner to management
- Support operational teams and executives in their decisions
- Challenge assumptions, margins, and action plans
- Be proactive in proposing ways to improve overall performance
- Actively participate in steering committees
Business / project monitoring
- Manage the financial monitoring of the business portfolio (Revenue, margins, costs to completion)
- Secure project profitability across the entire scope
- Identify risks and deviations and recommend corrective actions
- Contribute to business reviews
Reporting & closings
- Prepare the complete monthly P&L, with a reading by entity and consolidated
- Guarantee reliability, inter-company consistency, and respect for deadlines
- Produce financial analyses for the Management
Budget & re-forecasting
- Lead the budget preparation process
- Manage forecast cycles and budget re-forecasting
- Consolidate forecasts and secure the financial trajectory
Continuous improvement
- Optimize management control tools and processes
- Strengthen steering practices and data readability
- Contribute to cross-functional projects within the group
- You hold a Master's degree (Bac+5) in finance / management control
- You have more than 10 years of experience in management control, ideally in an industrial environment and/or business / project management
- You master P&L steering and budget cycles
- You have an excellent level of English (fluent)
- You are proficient in Excel and ERPs (BI would be appreciated)
- You are autonomous and have the ability to structure a scope
- You naturally position yourself as a business partner to management
- You have the ability to take a step back with a consolidated vision
- You have an analytical mind, are rigorous, and have strong synthesis skills
- You demonstrate interpersonal ease with both operational stakeholders and executives
