CFD COMBUSTION & MOTORIZATION ENGINEER M/F
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As part of the ongoing development of our activity, we are looking for:
A CFD COMBUSTION & MOTORIZATION ENGINEER M/F
In connection with the "Prestations et Simulations Moteurs Thermiques" (PSMT) team, you will participate in the development studies of internal combustion engines by developing technical specifications using numerical simulations. In collaboration with CAD surface design engineers, you will be responsible for improving the performance of the combustion system by optimizing the aerodynamic surfaces of the cylinder head, the combustion chamber, and the ignition system. This development work is primarily based on engine CFD simulations, steady-state and unsteady. In this capacity, your main missions will be:
- The definition and optimization of the combustion system skeleton (spark plug position, injector, valves, valve diameters);
- The development of intake and exhaust manifolds;
- The development of innovative ignition systems;
- The development of combustion chamber concepts;
- The development and optimization of injector sprays in accordance with the internal aerodynamics of the engines;
- The optimization of mixture preparation: turbulence, mixing;
- The evaluation of combustion system performance and its ability to meet specifications.
REQUIRED PROFILE:
With a higher education degree at the BAC+5 level (engineering school or university) in the field of mechanics, energy, CFD, or combustion, you have at least 2 years of experience in CFD engineering applied to thermal engines, combustion, or fluid mechanics, ideally acquired in the automotive, motorsport, motorization, or R&D engineering sectors. Experience in combustion simulation, injection/sprays, internal engine aerodynamics, and combustion system optimization will be particularly appreciated, as well as knowledge of the CFD software CONVERGE or an equivalent. You are accustomed to working on the operation of internal combustion engines and on the levers used to optimize their power and efficiency, as well as on the aerodynamic phenomena observable in an internal combustion engine. B1 level English as well as mastery of the following software is required: CATIA, INDICOM, CONCERTO.
You are proactive and are committed to imagining and developing new combustion chamber concepts, in a constant approach of innovation and the pursuit of performance. Rigorous and reliable, you possess an analytical and synthetic mind that allows you to approach complex technical issues methodically. Your technical curiosity, your taste for challenges, and your interest in motorization drive you to constantly seek new high-performance solutions.
Permanent contract (CDI) to be filled in Juvisy-sur-Orge (91), remuneration between 45 and 65 K€ per year depending on profile and experience + benefits.
