About Ground.Africa

Ground.Africa is an on-ground distribution network connecting products and opportunities with people who can execute in real places.

We work across product activation, opportunity distribution and field intelligence — taking things beyond the timeline and into campuses, businesses, communities, events, markets and other real-world environments.

We are expanding our network of Operators.

About the role

A Ground.Africa Operator is someone who can go into the real world, speak with people, create useful connections, help distribute a product or opportunity, and document what actually happened.

This is not an influencer role.

You do not need a huge following.

You need to be able to show up, communicate, execute and follow through.

As an Operator, you may work on product activations, event distribution, field research, community outreach, user onboarding, lead generation or other Ground.Africa assignments depending on the opportunity.

What you'll do

  • Represent Ground.Africa professionally during field activities.
  • Speak with people, communities, businesses or relevant audiences about assigned products or opportunities.
  • Help interested people understand and take action on an opportunity.
  • Attend relevant events, campuses, communities, businesses or other locations when assigned.
  • Document your work through photos, videos, notes, conversations and other required evidence.
  • Report what happened — including useful feedback, objections, questions, outcomes and lessons from the field.
  • Work with the Ground.Africa team to execute assigned missions reliably.

Who we're looking for

You may be a creator, student, community leader, salesperson, event organiser, campus leader, business developer, marketer or simply someone who is naturally good at dealing with people.

You should:

  • Be based in Abuja and able to operate physically in the city.
  • Communicate confidently with different types of people.
  • Be comfortable approaching and speaking to strangers.
  • Be reliable and responsive.
  • Have a smartphone and reliable internet access.
  • Be able to document your work.
  • Be willing to learn and follow an execution brief.
  • Be honest about what happened rather than exaggerating results.
  • Have an active public social media profile.
  • Be willing to identify publicly as a Ground.Africa Operator if selected.

A large following is not required.

Previous Web3 experience is not required.

A university degree is not required.

What matters most is your ability to execute.

What you get

Ground.Africa Operators get the opportunity to:

  • Build real proof of work.
  • Gain practical field sales and distribution experience.
  • Work on real products and opportunities.
  • Build a public record of their field execution.
  • Access relevant paid assignments as they become available.
  • Develop communication, sales, research and field execution skills.
  • Become part of a growing network of Operators across African cities.
  • Access training, bootcamps and opportunities as the network grows.

Paid assignments will always have their scope, requirements and payment/reward terms communicated before an Operator accepts the work.

How selection works

We are looking for people who can actually execute, not simply people who want the title.

Shortlisted applicants may be invited to a short conversation or practical assessment before becoming a verified Ground.Africa Operator.

If you believe you can go into the real world, speak to people, get useful work done and show what happened, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply to become a Ground.Africa Operator.
