About The Role

Become part of GROPYUS and actively shape the cost competitiveness of our innovative building systems. At the interface of product development, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and construction execution, you will identify and realize cost reduction potentials throughout the entire lifecycle of our buildings.

As Senior Manager Cost Optimization - Building Systems, you will play a central role in establishing transparent cost structures, critically evaluating technical solutions, and implementing value engineering initiatives across our entire product portfolio.

This position is particularly suitable for candidates with sound experience in construction, prefabricated building systems, and project execution. You recognize practical and scalable potentials for cost optimization in building design, construction processes, and system integration and implement them successfully.

Your area of responsibility includes:

Supporting the development and implementation of the cost optimization strategy for our building systems to ensure cost competitiveness and value creation across the entire product portfolio.

Application of Design-to-Cost, Should-Cost, Value Engineering, and Target Costing methods in the areas of product development, manufacturing, procurement, and construction execution.

Identification, analysis, and prioritization of cost optimization potentials for building systems, components, materials, as well as interfaces in construction execution.

Development and maintenance of transparent cost models and benchmarks, as well as ensuring a continuous learning process based on target-actual cost comparisons.

Steering cross-functional cost optimization initiatives and supporting the implementation of improvement measures.

Close cooperation with the teams from Product, Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Construction, and R&D to sustainably anchor cost awareness in decision-making processes.

About You

Minimum Requirements

Several years of experience in the areas of Cost Engineering, Value Engineering, construction cost management, design optimization, or technical project execution within the construction industry.

Sound understanding of construction processes, building materials, interfaces with subcontractors, as well as the essential cost drivers of construction projects.

Demonstrable success in realizing measurable cost reductions and sustainable business results through cross-functional initiatives.

Strong analytical skills as well as the ability to translate technical solutions into economic impacts.

Willingness to undertake regular business travel between our locations.

Business fluent English skills.

Preferred Requirements

Experience with industrialized construction, modular building systems, prefabrication, or high-volume production environments.

Knowledge of timber construction, German-speaking construction markets, as well as digital calculation and costing tools.

Lean Six Sigma certification and/or practical experience in applying continuous improvement methods.

Business fluent German skills.
