track and field coach
*About Us*
Grit Athletics Dartmouth Club is dedicated to fostering athletic excellence and personal growth in young athletes. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Track and Field Coach to join our team and help our athletes reach their full potential.
*The Role*
We are looking for coaches to lead and mentor athletes in one or more of the following disciplines: *Sprints, Hurdles, Long Distance, or Throws*. You will work with a diverse group of athletes, potentially ranging from *U8 to U20+*.
*Schedule:*
- 2 training sessions per week.
- Each session is 1 - 2 hours in duration.
- Flexibility to provide support during local competitions.
*Key Responsibilities*
- *Program Development:* Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs of individual athletes.
- *Mentorship:* Provide technical guidance and emotional support during practices and meets.
- *Safety & Culture:* Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes while fostering a positive and inclusive training environment.
*Qualifications*
- *Coaching Background:* Proven experience coaching sprints, hurdles, distance, or throws.
- *Youth Experience:* Previous experience working with and coaching children is required.
- *Communication:* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with athletes and parents.
- *Requirements:* Must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check (can be obtained after selection).
