Accountant (Middle), HoReCa Focus

ABOUT US Greywood LLC is an accounting and consulting firm in Yerevan serving around 80 client companies. Hospitality is one of our key specializations: we handle accounting, payroll, inventory control and operational processes for restaurants, cafés, bars and hotels.

ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for an Accountant with real HoReCa experience to manage the daily accounting of our hospitality clients. Restaurant accounting is fast-moving and detail-heavy, with daily sales, cash, inventory and a large shift-based staff, so we need someone who already understands how a restaurant or hotel works from the inside.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Daily accounting

• Record daily sales from POS systems (iiko, R-Keeper or similar) and reconcile them with cash, card terminals, delivery platforms and bank receipts
• Process supplier invoices, e-invoices (tax invoices) and acceptance documents
• Reconcile suppliers, payments and petty cash
• Track cash collection and handle cash-handling discrepancies

Inventory and cost control

• Organize and take part in monthly stock-takes for kitchen, bar and warehouse
• Record write-offs, spoilage, staff meals and transfers between storage points
• Analyze shortages and surpluses and prepare inventory variance reports
• Calculate food cost and beverage cost and monitor margins
• Maintain recipe cards (tech cards) and update costing when supplier prices change

Payroll

• Calculate payroll for shift-based staff: hourly pay, fixed salaries, sales-based bonuses, service charges and deductions
• Work with timesheets and check hours against schedules
• Prepare payroll registers and payment files

Tax and reporting

• Prepare VAT, turnover tax, income tax and other returns for assigned clients
• Support month-end close and prepare management reports (revenue, cost, payroll, margin)
• Prepare documents and explanations for audits and tax inspections

Process support

• Help clients set up and improve procedures for procurement, cash handling and inventory
• Identify control weaknesses and suggest practical fixes

REQUIREMENTS

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, with at least 1 year in restaurants, cafés, hotels or catering (in-house or serving HoReCa clients)
• Good knowledge of the RA Tax Code and payroll rules
• Experience with ArmSoft or 1C
• Hands-on experience with a restaurant POS or back-office system; iiko is a strong advantage
• Confident Excel skills
• Fluent Armenian; working Russian and English
• Higher education in accounting, finance or economics

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience organizing stock-takes and analyzing inventory variances
• Experience with food cost and recipe costing
• Experience with hotel accounting (room revenue, PMS systems)
• Experience with delivery platforms and their settlement reports
