Greenwell Gleeson are delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, £50m turnover business based in Solihull to recruit a Finance Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to lead, manage and develop a small finance team within a dynamic and expanding organisation. The role offers genuine progression potential and would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes ownership of their work, and is eager to broaden their skills and experience. The successful candidate will be confident in managing day-to-day financial operations while supporting the continued growth of the business. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the confidence to embrace new challenges are essential for success in this role.

Main Duties

Oversee all day-to-day finance department functions, including:

  • Daily bank processing and reconciliations including updating invoice discounting schedules
  • Weekly and monthly sales invoicing using Sage 50 and management system
  • Daily purchase ledger processing
  • Credit control
  • Monthly Payroll reconciliations
  • Lead, manage and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Provide and co-ordinate information for all external auditors
  • Drive cash flow to maximise available cash.
  • Assist in production of annual financial statements.

Experience Required

  • Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant
  • Experience of invoice discounting essential
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Previous experience of working within a busy and fast-growing business
  • Previous experience of Sage Line 50
