Maintenance Engineer

• Monitor solar PV plant performance through remote monitoring systems.

• Analyze data to identify issues such as low yield, component faults, or energy losses.
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports on energy generation and plant efficiency.

• Perform scheduled maintenance of solar modules, inverters, transformers, MDBs, and other BOS (Balance of System) components.
• Conduct regular inspection and servicing of Main Distribution Boards (MDBs

• Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical and mechanical systems, including MDB-related issues such as tripping, overload, or component failure.
• Replace defective parts including PV modules, cables, fuses, breakers, and connectors.

• Maintain maintenance logs, spare part inventories, and component replacement records.
• Perform site inspections to assess infrastructure integrity and equipment condition.

• Inspect mounting structures and verify mechanical alignment and grounding systems.
• Propose and implement system optimization strategies, including load redistribution or MDB reconfiguration when needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline. Diploma holders with hands-on experience will also be considered. 1–3 years of experience in solar PV system operation and maintenance. Strong technical experience with electrical systems, particularly with MDBs, inverters, transformers, and monitoring platforms. Solid understanding of PV system architecture, AC/DC circuits, grounding, and system protection. Proficient in fault diagnosis and corrective action related to electrical distribution. Familiarity with monitoring platforms (e.g., SCADA, inverter monitoring tools). Basic networking and communication systems knowledge is an asset.
