Overview

As Procurement Manager – Cables (m/f/d), you will take on a central role in shaping our Supply Chain and optimizing our product cost structure. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies as well as the strategic management of national and international suppliers with a focus on cost, quality, and security of supply.

In close cooperation with Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Logistics, and other cross-functional teams, you will ensure the successful implementation of our projects and make an important contribution to the competitiveness and long-term success of the company. As a Lead Buyer, you will also be the central point of contact for all procurement-related topics within selected projects.

Your Tasks

• Strategic procurement of cables and cable components for national and international projects
• Development and implementation of commodity and sourcing strategies for the cable product group
• Selection, evaluation, and continuous further development of national and international manufacturers and supplier partners
• Negotiation and management of framework agreements and condition agreements with a focus on quality, cost, delivery performance, technical conformity, and security of supply
• Conducting market, cost, and benchmark analyses for cables and cable systems with a focus on price development, availability, delivery times, risks, and technical requirements
• Close cooperation with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, Quality Management, and Logistics to ensure project-related requirements
• Identification and implementation of cost optimization, standardization, and improvement potential within the product group
• Analysis and preparation of purchasing KPIs, supplier evaluations, and decision bases for project- and product group-related procurement decisions

Your Profile

• Completed studies in the field of Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable course of study
• Several years of experience in the strategic procurement of the cable product group, ideally in the environment of PV, energy infrastructure, or EPC projects
• Sound technical understanding of cables, technical specifications, standards, certifications, and relevant manufacturing processes
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic, analytical, and structured way of working as well as a good understanding of cost- and market price-relevant factors
• Experience in project management as well as in cross-functional cooperation with technical and commercial interfaces
• Responsible, proactive, and solution-oriented way of working as well as the ability to use professional expertise purposefully in everyday work
• Respectful and trusting cooperation as well as mutual support within the team
• Proficient use of ERP systems and MS Office
• Very good English skills; German skills are an advantage
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
