Senior Azure and Citrix Engineer

Your tasks

Provide L3 support and engineering for Azure and Citrix virtual workplace environments. Azure is the highest-priority skill, followed by Ansible and Citrix, as the environment evolves toward greater cloud automation.

• Resolve complex L3 incidents and service requests, perform debugging and manage Microsoft and Citrix vendor escalations.
• Build, maintain, monitor and patch Azure and Citrix infrastructure, including virtual desktops, Windows terminal services and associated platform components.

• Automate configuration,packaging and deployment with Ansible / AWX and PowerShell, and identify opportunities to simplify operations.
• Troubleshoot profiles, access,certificates, platform performance and dependencies across Windows, network andvirtualisation layers.

• Coordinate onsite infrastructure issues with the local data-centre team and support planned changes, testing and emergency maintenance.
• Maintain knowledge articles,support procedures and complete shift handovers to meet service levels.

Requirements

Required skills and experience

• The IT, Citrix and Azure experience described above, with demonstrable ownership of L3 virtual-workplace incidents.
• Strong Azure administration and Windows infrastructure troubleshooting; practical Ansible automation skills.

• Hands-on Citrix administration across relevant on-premises or Citrix Cloud environments.
• Ability to work the stated rotating shifts and on-call roster, communicate clearly and collaborate with global teams.

Preferred skills Citrix PVS, StoreFront and ADC / NetScaler; VMware or XenServer; FSLogix / Citrix UPM; Azure monitoring, SCOM, SCCM, SSL certificates; Python; relevant Microsoft, Citrix or ITIL qualifications.
