Technology, puzzling, and bringing complete machine solutions together Do you get energy from designing technical solutions and do you prefer seeing the big picture rather than one individual machine part? Do you enjoy puzzling with machines, product flows, layouts, and technical possibilities? Then the position of Sales Support Engineer at GREEFA might be a perfect fit for you. In this office-based role, you sit exactly between Sales and Engineering. You do not sell machines yourself; you spar directly with Sales. You ensure that a customer request is translated into a technically sound and well-thought-out concept.

What will you do as a Sales Support Engineer? A sorting line from GREEFA consists of much more than just a number of machines placed next to each other. Every customer, location, and product flow is different. You puzzle out how a complete sorting and packaging installation can best be constructed. Where does the sorting section go? Where do the packaging machines go? How does the product flow through the installation? Where do forklifts drive, and how do you ensure that employees can work well and safely around the installation? You translate this information into a technical concept and work this out in a layout and 3D-model.

Additionally: you calculate and specify complete sorting and packaging solutions;

you compile bills of materials and technical specifications;

you ensure complete, correct, and structured quotations;

you support and advise our salespeople and international dealers;

you coordinate extensively with Sales, Engineering, and other technical disciplines;

you maintain an overview of both the mechanical and electrotechnical sides of our solutions.

You do not need to design machines down to the very last bolt. Rather, overseeing and bringing together the complete installation forms an important part of your work. Accuracy is important in this. In a calculation or bill of materials, one line can represent a relatively small component, but just as easily an installation part weighing several tons.

What makes this function interesting? This is a function for someone who likes to combine technology with overview, creativity, and accuracy. You will receive many different projects and customer requests, meaning you won't be working on the same part for months. One time you might be working on an expansion of an existing installation, the next time you are working out a completely new line. You work much independently, but certainly not alone. You have daily contact with colleagues from, among others, Sales and Engineering. Naturally, you have frequent consultation with your direct colleagues from Sales Engineering (think of exchanging experience and knowledge, standardization, improvement processes, etc., etc.).

Who fits well? You are probably someone who likes to research things and is not satisfied until a technical puzzle is correct. You can work accurately without losing sight of the bigger picture and are easy to get along with at the same time. Because although an important part of your work is technical and analytical, you work closely with other departments. Or in other words: for this function, we are looking for a combination of a technician, a puzzler, and a numerically accurate coordinator, who also simply walks into a colleague's office easily when something needs to be coordinated.

What do we offer you? an excellent salary matching your education, knowledge, and work experience;

a position within a stable, high-tech, and international family business;

25 vacation days and 13 ADV days;

employment conditions according to the CAO Metaal en Techniek;

an allowance for travel expenses;

a profit-sharing scheme;

a good pension scheme at PMT;

plenty of opportunities to further develop yourself technically and personally;

smart, practical, and friendly colleagues;

the possibility to work partially from home.

Where will you be working? From our headquarters in Tricht (near Geldermalsen), we develop and produce sorting and packaging installations for fruit and vegetables. We do this together with about 200 colleagues, day in and day out. Almost all new technologies, both mechanical and software, are developed by our own R&D department. Because of this, we have been among the top of the market for decades and are active in more than 40 countries.

We want to fill this vacancy through our own recruitment. Therefore, acquisition in response to this vacancy is not desired. Profiles and CVs sent unsolicited by agencies will not be processed.

What do you bring? For us, your technical foundation and way of thinking are more important than the exact paper on your CV.

We are thinking, for example, of: a technical education at MBO-4 or HBO level, for example Mechatronica, Werktuigbouwkunde, or similar;

a few years of relevant experience within a technical environment;

a broad technical interest, where you understand mechanics and also have some sense for electrotechnics, sensors, and control technology;

experience with technical drawing and/or 3D-modelling;

experience with, for example, AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Creo, or a similar CAD package;

an accurate and structured way of working;

the ability to figure out technical problems and come up with solutions;

good communication skills;

a good command of the English language. German is a plus.

Experience within machine building is naturally interesting, but not necessarily essential. For example, if you have worked within packaging machines, production automation, material handling, process installations, or another technical environment and recognize yourself in this function, we would also love to get in contact with you.

Commercial experience is also not necessary. You do not have to be a salesperson. However, you do enjoy using your technical knowledge in an environment where, ultimately, a good solution must be assembled for the customer.

We are looking for someone who fits within the professionalism and drive of a high-tech company, but also within the informal atmosphere of a family business.
