Technical Purchasing and Supply Chain Professional Mining

At Grafton Latam, we are looking for a Technical Purchasing and Supply Chain Professional – Mining to join an important company in the industrial sector.

We are looking for a professional with solid experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing, and Supply Chain, ideally developed in companies linked to the mining industry or companies providing products and services for mining.

Main functions

• Manage purchasing and sourcing processes for materials, products, and services associated with projects.
• Administer and issue Purchase Orders, performing follow-up until the fulfillment of the agreed conditions.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers.
• Manage quotation and negotiation processes, considering prices, deadlines, commercial conditions, quality, and service levels.
• Negotiate and follow up on contracts with suppliers.
• Participate in the planning and implementation of Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategies.
• Analyze risks in the supply chain and propose contingency plans.
• Perform market analysis to identify sourcing alternatives and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor costs and identify savings and optimization opportunities.
• Maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers.
• Coordinate requirements with Project, Contracts, and other internal teams.
• Use ERP systems and technological tools to ensure traceability and efficiency in purchasing processes.

Requirements

• Professional training in Ingeniería Civil Industrial, Ingeniería Industrial, Ingeniería Comercial, Ingeniería en Logística, Mantención Industrial, or a related career.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience in Purchasing, Procurement, Sourcing, and/or Supply Chain.
• Experience in end-to-end purchasing process management: quotation, supplier evaluation, negotiation, issuance of PO, and follow-up.
• Experience in technical purchasing and/or purchasing associated with industrial projects.
• Experience in the mining industry or supplier/contractor companies that supply products or services to mining companies.
• Verifiable experience in negotiation with suppliers and commercial conditions.
• Intermediate or higher English, with the ability to participate in meetings, interact with suppliers, and manage documentation or emails in English.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Desirable experience with SAP, international suppliers, imports, and/or Power BI.

Conditions

• Monthly net salary: $1.700.000.
• Hybrid modality.
• Workplace: Las Condes, Santiago.
• Working day under Art. 22.
• Hiring through Temporary Services via Grafton Latam.
• Project initially for 6 months.
