Financial Accountant

Grafton Banks Finance is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a growing and successful SME based in Sutton, Surrey. The role is based onsite 4 days per week with free parking and 1 day remotely. The role is a mixture of management and financial accounting as well as other project work, so its an interesting and varied opportunity for a fully qualified accountant. The role would suit someone from practice looking for a first move into industry or someone with experience already working in industry. Advanced excel skills are required along with a can-do attitude, inquisitive mindset and previous statutory accounts production experience.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Accurate monthly consolidated management accounts
• Accurate year end consolidated statutory accounts production
• Working with auditors to ensure audit is completed to agreed timeline
• Provision of corporation tax information
• Ownership of inventory reporting
• Provision of accurate financial information to support all areas of the business in decision making
• Manage the year end stock process
• Review of VAT returns
• Other ad-hoc ongoing project work

This role would suit a technically trained accountant with confident statutory accounts experience as well as previous experience of managing an audit process with external auditors.
