The Firm

An independent, growing professional services firm based in Central London have a job vacancy for a management accountant to join their finance team. This firm offer a wide range of professional services to OMBs, SMES, charities and large international groups.

The Team

The Finance team plays a crucial role in the firm, overseeing all financial matters, supporting the business on a day-to-day basis. The team provide timely and accurate financial statistics, reports, and accounts.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting the Finance team by delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial information to assist decision-making across the business. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be:

• Responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting activities, balance sheet reconciliations and performance reporting
• You will work closely with budget holders and stakeholders across the firm, providing financial support and insight
• Work to the continuous improvement of financial processes, with a particular emphasis on AI, systems and controls, ensuring the Finance function delivers a high-quality service while maintaining strong governance and financial integrity.
• Work with the FC to prepare the firm and it's group companies financial statements and prepare for it's year end audit
• Other ad-hoc work and projects that are crucial to the smooth running of a successful professional services firm

What We're Looking For

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple deadlines.

This is a crucial role within the finance team as it sits across all areas and works closely with the financial controller. This is a great role for someone who is already working in this type of environment or a newly qualified accountant from audit who is looking for their first role in finance.
