[What you will be working on]
Building and Construction Authority's (BCA) CORENET X programme is transforming how Singapore's built environment sector submits, reviews, and approves building plans and permits across multiple agencies. The team is looking for an empathetic, systems-minded Designer who can own end-to-end design work with growing autonomy. You'll move from discovery research through to shipped solutions, translating complex regulatory processes into intuitive digital experiences for architects, engineers, and building professionals. Your work will shape how the industry interacts with government approvals, making compliance clearer and submissions faster.
Design end-to-end user journeys for assigned product areas, from initial discovery through to delivered interfaces, partnering with product managers and engineers to ship features that improve submission workflows.
Execute user research to understand how building professionals navigate regulatory requirements, translating insights into clear opportunities, journey maps, and design solutions.
Partner with domain experts and agency stakeholders to simplify complex policies and approval processes into intuitive experiences that reduce errors and rework.
Deliver accessible, consistent interfaces within the CORENET X design system, maintaining coherence across a multi-product programme serving diverse user groups.
Translate research findings and product analytics into evidence-based design decisions, articulating trade-offs clearly to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
[What we are looking for]
Growing experience owning UX or service design work for digital products, with demonstrated ability to move from problem definition to shipped solution with increasing independence.
Strong systems thinking that helps you navigate ambiguity within a defined scope, connecting user needs to technical and policy constraints.
Clear communication and facilitation skills that enable you to align product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders around shared understanding.
Practiced ability to plan and conduct user research, then translate findings into design decisions you can defend with evidence.
Preferred background: experience in government, regulated industries, or large-scale digital transformation programmes.
