The Ministry of Highways is seeking a motivated Supervisor, Operations for the Outlook Section within the Operations and Maintenance Division.

Candidates must possess:

• a valid Class 1A driver's licence
• knowledge of highway maintenance operations, heavy equipment operation and maintenance, workplace safety practices, traffic control procedures, and occupational health requirements
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel, and lubrication systems is required

Contract or project management experience and knowledge of ice roads are assets. Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Duties include:

• supervising staff and program delivery
• coordinating highway maintenance and snow and ice control activities
• operating and maintaining heavy equipment
• preparing operational reports and records
• ensuring compliance with safety and roadwork policies
• responding to public and stakeholder inquiries
