Goose Mechanical is a Calgary based mechanical contractor specializing in commercial plumbing and HVAC construction. We're building a high-quality service team from the ground up - this is a ground floor opportunity with real room to grow as the company scales.

*Role*

We're looking for an experienced Journeyman HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our founding team. You'll handle preventative maintenance, modifications, installations, and service calls for commercial clients, working on a wide range of mechanical equipment.

*Responsibilities*

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance visits per client service agreements
• Diagnose and repair all types of commercial mechanical equipment
• Assist with scoping, estimating, and planning new work or projects
• Install new HVAC systems in accordance with construction plans and specifications
• Ensure installations and repairs meet environmental and refrigerant-handling requirements
• Complete accurate work orders, service reports, and equipment documentation
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients
• Identify, report and recommend additional service or repairs, during site visits
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and follow all safety protocols
• Respond to occasional after-hours or emergency calls as part of a shared on-call rotation

*Requirements*

• Red Seal Certified HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic required
• Minimum 5 years of commercial service experience
• Class 5 license with a clean drivers abstract required
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across varied equipment types
• Comfortable working independently and in a team environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must possess a comprehensive set of personal trade tools
• Gasfitter A ticket considered a strong asset
