*About the Role*
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and detail-oriented *Cabinet Installer* to join our team.
In this role, you will carry out on-site installations of custom cabinetry and architectural millwork across residential and commercial projects. We want a professional who takes pride in clean lines, precise alignment, and efficient execution while maintaining clean, respectful job sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, elevation plans, shop drawings, and layout measurements.
- Verify on-site dimensions and check job site conditions (walls, floors, plumbing/electrical rough-ins) prior to installation.
- Deliver, stage, and install cabinet boxes, fillers, crown molding, light valances, decorative panels, toe kicks, and hardware.
- Scribe, cut, and adjust fillers, end panels, and trim to fit out-of-square walls and uneven surfaces cleanly.
- Ensure all cabinetry is plumb, level, square, and securely anchored to wall studs or blocking.
- Install and adjust doors, drawer slides, pull-outs, and soft-close hardware to achieve tight, uniform reveals.
- Troubleshoot and make field adjustments, modifications, or minor touch-ups on site as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe site workspace, cleaning dust and debris after installation.
- Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- *Minimum 1 year* of dedicated cabinet or millwork installation experience on residential or commercial job sites.
- Proven ability to accurately read blueprints, shop drawings, and elevations.
- Proficient with all essential installation hand/power tools (table saws, track saws, miter saws, laser levels, drills, routers).
- Sharp eye for detail with a commitment to seamless scribing, alignment, and high-quality finishing.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy cabinet boxes, panels, and materials (50+ lbs).
- Strong problem-solving skills, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- *Valid Class 5 BC Driver?s Licence* (mandatory).
Assets / Preferred Qualifications
- *Hands-on experience in cabinet box and drawer assembly* (doweling, confirming squareness, hardware pre-mounting).
- Experience with custom trim, crown molding, and architectural millwork scribing.
- Familiarity with cabinet touch-ups, colour-matched wax fillers, and minor field repairs.
- General construction or finishing carpentry experience.
