Responsibilities and duties

The challenges awaiting you at your next destination are:

Manage and optimize the supply flow, from demand planning to the acquisition and delivery of parts, components, and services; To ensure the continuous and efficient availability of materials and services necessary for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) operations of aircraft engines, minimizing costs and ensuring compliance with aeronautical regulations.

Scope: Acts at the interface between the engine workshop, national and international suppliers, engineering teams, maintenance planning, and finance, focusing on the optimization of the supply chain for aircraft engines.

Demand Planning: Develop and maintain demand forecasts for engine components (LLPs – Life Limited Parts, rotables, repairables, and consumables), analyzing consumption history, reliability trends, workshop visit schedules, and contractual obligations for accurate demand planning.

Acquisition and Sourcing: Conduct the sourcing and acquisition process for aircraft engine components, ensuring alignment with production schedules and the requirements of the engine workshop area.

Supplier Coordination: Monitor delivery deadlines, price trends, and delivery commitments from suppliers and repair service providers. Support the expediting of critical parts, including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requirements.

Cost and Risk Analysis: Perform cost-benefit analyses and risk assessments for supply chain projects, identifying opportunities for savings and optimization.

Compliance and Aerospace Standards: Ensure that procurement activities are in compliance with the legal requirements of the sector.

In addition to the challenge of: Managing the complexity of the aeronautical MRO supply chain, which involves high-value parts, long lead times, rigorous regulations, and the need to ensure the availability of critical components to avoid AOGs, requiring constant risk analysis and agility in decision-making.

Requirements and qualifications

Must be in your background:

  • Completed Higher Education in Engineering, Administration, Logistics, Foreign Trade, or related areas.
  • Experience in supply chain, working in planning and procurement, preferably in the aeronautical sector.
  • Familiarity with rotables, repairables, and consumables components.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (advanced Excel) and ERP systems.
  • Negotiation and supplier management skills.
  • Fluent English (reading, writing, and conversation).

Desired Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of AMOS system.
  • Knowledge of SAP MM module.
  • Knowledge of PowerBI.
  • Knowledge of AI tools.
  • Previous experience with procurement of aeronautical parts and pieces.
  • Intermediate/advanced Spanish (reading, writing, and conversation).
