About the project

CLIMIG is an interdisciplinary research program that investigates how climate change interacts with social, cultural, economic, political, and ecological factors that affect migration. Tasks

As a researcher within CLIMIG, you will primarily work with the analysis of quantitative data on migration, climate change, and related socioeconomic conditions, but also qualitative data, from the project's research areas in Peru, Ethiopia, and Nepal. The work includes analysis and integration of survey data and spatial data, including remote sensing data, and interview data, as well as scientific publication of the project's results.

The tasks may also include combining quantitative and qualitative research results, organizing and participating in workshops where research results are fed back to relevant actors. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other researchers and international partners within CLIMIG.

Qualifications

For the position, a doctoral degree in human geography, development studies, migration studies, social anthropology, or another subject that the employer deems relevant to the project is required.

You must have documented experience in research on climate-related migration or related issues, as well as very good competence in quantitative social science methods and statistical analysis, and also qualitative data collection and analysis.
