Förvaltningshögskolan conducts education, research, and collaboration within the subject of Public Administration. Public Administration is a multidisciplinary research area that studies the organization, governance, function, and relationship to society of the public sector by integrating theories and methods from several social science disciplines. Research and education within Public Administration at the department is mainly conducted within three areas: Politics, democracy and administration, public management, and organization, management and society.

Duties

The duties as Assistant Professor in Public Administration consist of half research and half teaching. In the teaching part, administrative tasks may also be included.

Research within the subject of Public Administration. The Assistant Professor is free to choose research questions, develop theoretical ideas, collect data, and choose research methods. This includes actively seeking external international and national research grants as well as actively participating in the department's research environments and seminar activities. The Assistant Professor is also expected to participate in the international dialogue through participation in conferences and through international publication with esteemed international publishers and in esteemed international journals with a peer review system. Teaching, course responsibility, supervision, and examination in courses at basic and advanced levels in Public Administration. Teaching at the doctoral level may also become relevant. Teaching in most programs and courses at the department may be required. The duties also include course and program development as well as participation in the department's pedagogical development work. Collaboration with the surrounding society. Eligibility
