Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Developer / Software Engineer to develop, enhance, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and systems, supporting web and mobile platforms with a strong foundation in programming and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, test, and maintain software applications and system components to meet functional requirements
• Support the development of web-based and mobile applications by implementing front-end and back-end functions
• Design and maintain application interfaces, database functions, APIs, and CRUD operations to ensure data integrity and usability
• Perform unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and defect resolution to deliver reliable software
• Integrate software with databases, external applications, devices, or other system components to ensure seamless operation
• Assist in application deployment, configuration, upgrades, patches, and version releases to maintain system currency
• Investigate application errors and system issues using logs and diagnostic tools to identify root causes
• Support maintenance and enhancement of existing applications to improve performance and functionality
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including software design, configuration, test procedures, user guides, and release notes
• Collaborate with system engineers, cybersecurity personnel, users, vendors, and technical teams to resolve software-related issues
• Apply secure coding and cybersecurity best practices during application development to protect software integrity
• Participate in system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and deployment activities to ensure quality delivery
• Provide technical and operational support for deployed applications as needed to maintain service continuity

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
• Graduates or candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Internship or project experience in software, web, or cloud application development
• Experience developing database-driven applications
• Exposure to React, React Native, Laravel, Java/Spring, Python, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of Linux environments
• Exposure to cloud or virtualized environments
• Basic cybersecurity knowledge or security-related certification
• Experience with Git or other source-code/version-control tools
• Experience performing software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
