Job Scope

  • Work closely with backend and machine learning engineers to define API contracts and expected system behaviour.
  • Tune app performance, memory usage and responsiveness, especially for AI-intensive user flows.
  • Develop and maintain production-grade Android applications in Kotlin.
  • Set up analytics, logging and user feedback capture to support the evaluation and continuous improvement of AI features.
  • Uphold the stability, security and scalability of the app in production.
  • Design user experience patterns for AI interactions, such as streaming responses, retries and partial results.
  • Integrate AI-driven features (e.g. chat, vision, voice and recommendations) through backend APIs.

Requirements

  • Solid debugging and performance profiling skills.
  • At least 3 years of Android development experience with Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with REST or gRPC APIs and structured data formats.
  • Practical experience integrating AI capabilities such as LLM, vision or speech APIs.
  • Able to work effectively with systems that involve latency, partial failures and non-deterministic outputs.
  • Good grasp of asynchronous programming using Coroutines and Flow.
  • Track record of publishing production apps on the Google Play Store.
  • Experience with ML Kit or lightweight on-device inference.
