GMP Recruitment Agency Limited is partnering with an established and reputable accountancy practice in Malvern to recruit an experienced Accounts Senior to join its growing team.

Your tasks

This is an excellent opportunity for an accountancy professional with experience gained within practice to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting services and building strong, long-term client relationships.

• Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Supporting clients with their accounting requirements and responding to day-to-day queries.
• Preparing financial information and ensuring accounts are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Liaising directly with clients to obtain relevant financial information and discuss accounting matters.
• Identifying potential issues and escalating these to senior colleagues where appropriate.
• Attending client premises when required to provide support and develop client relationships.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the practice to deliver an efficient and professional service.
• Identifying opportunities to introduce clients to additional services offered by the firm.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of business structures, including limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying would be advantageous, although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to liaise directly with clients.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
• A proactive, commercially aware approach and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent client service.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be beneficial due to occasional client visits.
