MEP Site Manager
Key Responsibilities • Manage and supervise all MEP works on site, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Low Current systems. • Coordinate daily site activities with the Project Manager, Construction Team, Consultants, Contractors, and Subcontractors. • Review approved shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical specifications. • Ensure MEP installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements. • Coordinate MEP works with architectural, structural, and civil activities to avoid clashes and delays. • Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed according to the approved schedule. • Supervise MEP subcontractors and ensure proper manpower and resources are available. • Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical and coordination issues. • Ensure that all MEP works comply with applicable codes, standards, and HSE requirements. • Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover of MEP systems. • Review quantities, material requirements, and site requirements. • Follow up on material deliveries and ensure materials are available according to the construction program. • Attend site meetings and provide progress updates and technical reports. • Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure proper inspection and documentation of MEP works. • Identify site risks, delays, and technical issues and propose corrective actions. • Ensure proper documentation of RFIs, MIRs, WIRs, inspection requests, and as-built drawings. • Lead and manage MEP engineers, supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors on site.
Job Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. • 12–15 years of relevant experience in MEP construction/site management, preferably in large-scale building or construction projects. • Proven experience managing MEP works on construction sites. • Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical, and Low Current systems. • Good knowledge of MEP installation methods, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures. • Strong ability to read and review MEP shop drawings and technical specifications. • Experience in coordinating MEP works with Civil, Structural, and Architectural disciplines. • Strong knowledge of relevant international/local codes and standards. • Good understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements. • Experience managing subcontractors and site teams. • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Excellent communication and coordination skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. • Good knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office; knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage. • Strong leadership and team-management skills. • Ability to prepare and follow up on site progress, manpower, and material reports.
