Senior Product Owner | CDN & Analytics

We are responsible for a gigantic infrastructure that serves Globo's main video products, such as Globoplay, Premiere, and the Globo Channels. Additionally, we are responsible for the live transmission of major events - from state football championships, the World Cup, Olympics, Rock in Rio, and even the live cameras of Big Brother Brasil, which is available 24x7 for all Globoplay subscribers.

We are the CDN & Analytics team. Our area is responsible for the evolution of content distribution solutions for digital platforms, ensuring availability, scalability, performance, and efficiency in video delivery to millions of simultaneous users.

We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the evolution of the CDN platform, defining its strategy, roadmap, and priorities, promoting alignment between business, technology, and vendors to ensure the continuous evolution of content distribution capabilities.

Responsibilities and assignments

How your day-to-day will be:

• Build and evolve the CDN product vision, defining strategy, roadmap, and priorities aligned with the needs of Globo's digital products;
• Manage and prioritize the product backlog, detailing requirements and coordinating initiatives with engineering, architecture, operations, and vendors;
• Lead product governance, monitoring schedules, risks, dependencies, indicators, and delivery evolution;
• Structure business cases, support financial planning, and monitor the budget of initiatives;
• Act as the main relationship point between internal stakeholders, vendors, and strategic partners;
• Conduct proofs of concept (PoCs), homologations, and technical validations for platform evolution;
• Prepare and present executive materials, dashboards, indicators, and reports for different levels of the organization, supporting strategic decisions;
• Identify trends and opportunities for the evolution of distribution capabilities, CDN, cache, Origin Delivery, peering, and new content delivery architectures.

Requirements and qualifications

What you need:

• Completed higher education in: Engineering, Information Technology, or related areas;
• Experience in Product Management or Technology Projects;
• Experience with roadmap management, backlog, and product prioritization;
• Knowledge of content distribution platforms, CDN, and OTT Streaming;
• Ability to articulate with technical and business stakeholders;
• Experience in preparing executive presentations, indicators, and management reports;
• Advanced English.

Knowledge that sets you apart:

• Postgraduate degree or MBA in Management, Product, Engineering, or Technology;
• Certifications in Agile Methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or similar);
• Experience with CDN, OTT, Origin Delivery, and media distribution architectures;
• Knowledge in Media CDN, Cache, DASH, HLS, and IP Networks;
• Knowledge in Power BI and product management tools;
• Experience in the Media, Broadcast, and Streaming industry.
